Bleeding clutch cylinders
I don't know about the Audis outside the US, but there is an easy way to
bleed
the clutch cylinders. Use a length of plastic tubing ( clear is best )
and run it from the
left front brake caliper bleeder screw to the bleeder screw on the clutch
slave
cylinder. Open both fittings, and with some help from someone to hold the
hose
firmly on both fittings,SLOWLY depress and release the brake pedal
several times
until there is no air in the system. Just make sure you have plenty of
fluid in the
reservoir. Tighten the fittings, check the clutch pedal, if necessary,
repeat the bleeding
step and recheck the clutch pedal. You can use tubing similar to ice
maker water
feed tubing that you can buy at the local hardware to fit snugly over the
bleeder
fittings.
