Interesting you should mention this. I too am a citizen of Ohio. Here is an
interesting story about E-Check: My friend & co-worker too his 86 Subaru 4WD
wagon to an E-Check station to pass his vehicle. They put it on the dyno and
looked under the car. "Is this thing four wheel drive?!?" they exclaimed. My
friend said that indeed it was. They said that all they could do was check
the car at idle because they only had a two wheel dyno and the car passed
with flying colors. Here's the kicker: the subaru had a big red button on
the auto shifter to engage/disengage 4wd. I think they pay E-Checkers
minimum wage.
