Oil Questions ...

I have heard that the newest oil rating "SJ" may not be the best ... in the
past the API ratings got better (more strict, whatever) over time, but there
are some changes to the specs for SJ that are made more for "green" reasons
and may adversely affect engine longevity.  Anyone know where I can get more
info on this?

OBTW, on the local AX list Redline is getting a minor bashing as not being
intended to promote long bearing life in trannies ...
