Re: Well, then maybe a 5kcst_q_?
Thanks, Mark, and let me see if I know how to check these things:
> o Check the power steering for leaks at the hydraulic pump and rack
> o Definitely check the diff locks
Let me guess: lock the diffs, turn the steering wheel while stopped,
slowly start out on smooth pavement?
> o Check for operation of ABS
Brake hard, feel the pulsing, or is there a less dramatic method?

Now, are the center vents supposed to be just fresh air or heat/AC?
> o Check the CV Joints
...by driving and listening for noise or by checking under the car? I used
to drive a Honda Accord with bad (front) CV joints, so I know their sound
and driving feel, but I don't know what to expect from the rear.
Sorry for all the questions. I'm mechanically inclined (an ME, actually)
but not that experienced with cars and especially not Audis.
