advice

If you're ever cleaning out the striker assembly, and decide to grease
it all up inside, be very careful not to get any grease on the little
arms that lock and unlock the door. I must've did this to mine, and the
little plastic thing that the two linkages (from lock cylinder and
"knob") fell off into the door cavity. This is after I got it all
buttoned up, and was trying to unlock my car door at the mini-mart to
grab a Pepsi.

I had to go home and pull the door panel off with the door _closed_!
Sucked!

It looks like there's some little tabs that are supposed to apply
tension on the little arms to keep it from sliding off, but other than
that, nothing. Loads of fun! All because I was trying to fix a
squeak. It turned out to be the big screw to the anti-intrusion bar. I
found this out _after_ almost gutting the whole door shell.
