Hi Elliot;

    I recall seeing ads from some outfit which claimed they could repair
windshield cracks up to 24" long. I assume they are using a variant of the
bullseye repair process. I would think they would have to drill a small hole
at the ends of the crack to keep it from spreading, but I don't really know
any more about the system other than their (possibly extravagant) ad claims
that the repair would be "invisible" and the crack wouldn't spread any
further.
    I can't recall the name of the company. Perhaps if you consult your
local Yellow Pages or call around to a couple glass shops you could find out
more.
