There's a different attitude in europe that can be summed up by "Well that
was a d*mn silly place to stand wasnt it?".
It is generally accepted that motor sport is dangerous and watching it can
be risky too. A stage of the Corsican Rally was cancelled last week because
the organizers considered the number of spectaors was such that there was a
very high risk of injury. They didnt cancel it from a liability point of
view, more the bad press that they would have got if someone had been
killed.
