87 4000 Quattro, VW Quantum wagon, one question
Three new cars at local u-pull-it here in Daytona Beach: 904 255 8485
87 4000 Quattro, drive line all there, 5 speed,, body good, light hit in
front, interior partially gone, window motors, all glass and doors good,
most sheet metal good. No title. Many alloy wheels available.
Quantum Station Wagon (85?), hit hard left rear, engine, drive line all
there, didn't look too closely, not interested in Quantums but I know some
listers are. Ditto wheels.
85 5000 Automatic NA 2 wd. Unexceptional but for rather nice tan cloth
seats - full set, all glass/window motors present.
Needed a fuel pump (spare) - all gone. Buddy of mine got an ISV for his
H*nda something or other - paid $3 - new price $125, so he did MUCH better
than I did this time!
Now the question: The 1985 yielded two emblems - gold trim, rectangular
plate "Limited Edition" from right rear fender just above bumper, and "Fuel
Injection" in very Germanic looking block letters from left rear fender,
again just above bumper. These were stick-ons (double side foam), and
almost look OEM - anyone know if these are legitimate Audi parts or was
someone was just doing a little badge engineering?
Best Regards,
