Re: Spontaneous Windshield Breakage?!?
If the gasket and frame were not cleaned out well when the windshield
was replaced, the expansion from the solar heat can cause it to crack.
The best way to see if this is the problem is to take it back to the
place where it was done the first time and insist on being present when
they remove the windshield. Inspect the gasket yourself. I'd almost bet
there is a small chip of glass from the old windshield at the point of
origin of the crack.
