RE: can audis/vws take v.high mileage??
I recently purchased a 1985 Audi 4000 quattro (would be a model 80 in the
UK) with 204K miles in a heartbeat ... it has run very well for the past few
months. If the car has a 5-speed and the clutch is still original (200k out
of a clutch happens quite regularly!) you should plan on having that done.
If the car was maintianed well the mileage should not pose any issues.
I've heard that the Audi engines were based on an engine design for a
tractor ... I must say that seems to be the case in my experience ...
