Boston, MA area Qtails meeting
Tonight there will be the monthly meeting of local, Boston Q-heads with
occasional NH folk. All Audi owners in the Boston area(or farther out)
are enouraged to come!
Tonight's meeting, as announced on the qtails list, is scheduled for
"6-ish"(6:30 is a good time to plan on.)
Meeting location is off Rt. 2, at The Willow Pond Kitchen. Don recommends
it for the Chili and "character." It looks very easy to get to, though Rt
2 may be a parking lot around 6pm.
Here are the directions Don Hoefer provided:
> The Willow Pond is at 745 Lexington Road, Concord Mass. phone number
> is 978-369-6529. They do not take reservations but they have big
> tables. Lexington road is battle road in the national park.
>
> To get there from RT 128, take route 2 west. At the second traffic
> light (at the bottom of a big hill) turn right on to route 2A. At
> the next intersection at the blinking yellow light turn left. It is
> about 1/3 of a mile on the right.
>
> To get there from RT 495, take route 2 east. Go a long way, past the
> Concord rotary and prison, go past route 126 and Walden pond. At the
> next light keep left to go straight (route 2 takes a sharp right).
> There will be a Mobil station on the left. Go straight on to route 2A.
> At the next intersection at the blinking yellow light turn left. It is
> about 1/3 of a mile on the right.
Definates include Don and his Coupe, my 200q 20v and I, and possibly Andrew
Duane with his Oil light :)
We hope to see you there! If you plan on coming, please let the qtails
list know(you need not be a member to post) or myself, so we can
expect/wait up for you if need be, or cross our fingers you'll be able to
make it!
To become a member of the qtails mailing list for more info and discusion
about meeting places and times, send:

to majordomo@pdikeman.ne.mediaone.net. Send messages for the list to
qtails@pdikeman.ne.mediaone.net. The qtails list is no-traffic most of the
time, with messages usually popping up as the meeting time gets near(first
wed or thur of the month, usually.)
Now for something completely different!
It should be noted for Boston folks that the excellent Black Eagle Jazz
Band will be performing this Thursday night at the Stow airport in the
hangar. Admission is $10, food being provided by the owner of the
resteraunt where BEJB usually performs. If you want to hear some of the
best Jazz in New England, these guys are the band to see. Their web page
is at http://www.ultranet.com/~tpringle/EagleHome.html, and I quote:
>>Thanks to the generousity and help of a lot of people, the New Black
>>Eagle Jazz Band will be playing their gigs in the hanger at Minute Man
>>Air Field in Stow (just a few miles from Coffee Tea & Melody) on Thursday
>>June 4 and 18 at 7:30 PM, and possibly on July 2 and 16 at the same
>>location. The price is the same ($10), the time is the same (7:30 PM),
>>the host is the same (John Hanlon), the beer is the same (Young's,
>>Guiness, etc.), the music is the same (naturally), and the same good time
>>by all is expected.<<
Directions to the Stow airport are on their web page along with a map.
Cheers!
