radio/CD questions
A few days ago I posted:
My '91 200q has the Audi OEM 6-disc CD changer, whereas its gamma-model
Bose radio is evidently a later replacement.
(1) It's my understanding that the factory CD player in later Audis can be
better integrated with the gamma radios than was possible with the delta.
Is this correct? My CD changer appears to be hooked up via FM input and
makes no use of any of the radio (mode) controls. Can I (should I) rewire
things differently?
(2) When the CD changer is "on", the radio AM (not FM) signal is killed. Is
this normal? The CD manual mentions that there could be FM station
intereference with the CD output, but says nothing about AM.

I'll simplify the questions:
With the _gamma_ Bose radio, how do you switch output to "CD" for the
factory-installed CD player in '92 or later Audis? Is it just by way of the
FM antenna (select FM at 88.3 Mhz)?
Will having the OEM CD changer powered "ON" cause the AM radio signal to
vanish? This happens in my car with its Bose gamma radio. Wiring problem?
