RE: can audis/vws take v.high mileage??

My Synchros and my three brothers' many Quattros have changed my 
definition of high mileage.  I totalled my two VW Quantum Synchros 
(deer) at 200k each with no troubles, both had de-tuned Quattro type 
engines and drive trains.  My friends' Synchros are still going well 
with more mileage.  The Quattro I just bought has 120k, I'll be 
dissapointed to get less than 220k, expect 300k.  I've always shaken my 
head at my brothers and friends constantly tinkering with their Quattros 
while my Synchros cruised reliably, but I'm converting quickly with this 
car.  It's complex, but wonderfully well built.  I'm only a week into 
it, so we'll see.
