no power in 98 a4 2.8 q

Hi, I have  a98 a4 2.8q with the sport package.  Its a five speed.  It seems
to have no power at low speed,, ie up to 70 or so.  I can be beat by cford
probes etc.  Is this normal?it just feels sluggish, is there anything i can
do for this? granted I also have am m3 so Im spoiled.

ALso how is the best way to launch the car? it seems to bog unless I really
rev it, which seems like it will kill the clutch
