Well, I haven't tried the fix, but my '85 Coupe did not do this until I 
had everything apart and put it back together again.  When I took it
apart,
I did not do anything with the shear bolt.  The fix I got from another 
lister that sounded like he had BTDT.  It's probably in the archives.
