Sorry, no dice.  He tried a known good fuel pump relay out of one of my
cars and it still popped the fuse.

It is looking like it might a good short in the circuit though; he ran a
dedicated line (yes, fused) to the fuel pump and it's been working like
a champ for the last thirty-odd miles.

Any suggestions on common places to look for shorts in that circuit?
