Re: v-8's

V 8's are really very good cars. We have heard a few war stories, but I have to
say that upon scrutinizing the individual situations, the difficulkty usualy
lay with a a lack of maintenance or Audi not telling the owners to do
something(ie change the T/belt at 60 k) or someone servicing a car without the
knowhow. They are complicated cars and one must know what they're doing. In
the great sceme of things I think things could have been much worse with them
and that in general they have proved as reliable as any other Audi.
BTW, Paul Krummins is ready to sell his 90 V8 with 86k on it, since hew now
has is beloved 91 200 TQW.It's titanium metallic/grey leather,bose phone etc.
The car is a very solid example mechanically with fresh comp t/a's and t/belt
and water pump done within 15k. e/mail him at copley@snet or contact me if you
like.
