Well, it looks like a good idea, but I kind of need a car that always gets
me where I'm going.  I know that the 914 is not the car for that (how many
different places did I get stranded?) and from the stories here, the only
way to have the Ur-Q be a daily driver is to have a full shop, lots of
handy friends, and a well-stocked beer cooler.  As soon as I find a way to
fit a full shop in my apartment, I'll be ready to take it on.
