FINALLY got my car back
I finally got my car back after the accident htat happened in february.
The body work is not done, but the mechanical stuff is. That means the
strut brace, the coilover and the konis are on there. The one thing that
is not done is that i dont have the new tires on there.
So, with driving around on 1 yokohama AVS intermediate, 2 bridgestone
somethings (the sears kind), and 1 of htis fake aquatread thing. And i
have to say that already, the handling is to die for. I went with 325 lb
springs up front and 275 rear and that is a perfect combination. the
cars handling is very very neutral, with little understeer, even in
slower corners.
With the konis set on full stiff, the ride is very firm, but not harsh.
All of the bumps, while very pronounced are absorbed relatively softly.
There are no bone jarring moments except on the roughest of roads.
The body roll is down to a minimum, i would say maybe 2-4 degrees at the
most of roll. And it is only noticable when you are trying to notice it.
On the freeway, the ride can be a bit bouncy though, although the tires
never leave the ground and the car just sticks like glue.
I have no complaints, today alone i drove the car 250+ miles and have no
problems yet.
anyway, i highly recommend the coilover setup...and i will update you
guys tomorrow about when i get my tires.
later...
