Steve:
Most probably the switch for the passenger window located on the driver
side door. The driver side switch normally closed contacts are wired in
series with the passenger side switch, that allows you to operate the
window from the passemger side. When you attempt to use the driver side
switch you actually close the normally open contacts ( probably very
dirty, carbonized...etc..)to feed the window regulator. If you don't
clean the switch....in a little while the normally closed contacts will
also get dirty and...voila!!! neither driver nor passenger side will
operate !!
You can substitute the "dirty" switch with a diver side switch for a
rear door...the problem should follow the switch and the rear door
window will only operate from the rear door switch.
