Re: Dealer Horror Story - Need advice.
First call the owner. Tell him how great he is, and how great you
thought his shop was. After all, his reputation was why you bought from
him. You have spoken to people who had nothing but praise for the
dealership and this seems really out-of-character! Surely there was a
mix-up, but you are very busy. Hell, you work eighty hours a week, and
this is just shocking.
I've been in your shoes before, with a crummy aftermarkert converter,
and a CQ with steering wheel wobble. Once I caught flies with honey. The
other time I had to be an absolute bastard.
If at first you don't succeed, take the gloves off. Follow the list's
advice with the state gov't, the registered mail, the faxes to Audi (do
that anyway). Mention Civil Court--reverse lights are a safety feature!
Businesses like to practice attrition. They will confuse you,
double-talk you, and wear you down.
When you bought the car you entered into a contract that the dealer has
apparently violated. And he seems willing to do nothing to fix it.
Fight.

The local caitnoP dealership gave my father a callidaC STS the last time
they demonstrated their incompetence.
