You'd have to find someone that's owned/used many different brands to
really compare. Myself, I've got (only) two Bilstein's in the front of my
CGT, and I don't regret buying them.

I've heard KYB's suck. Koni's are supposedly to be good, but some have
had bad experiences with them. A friend of mine is running Tokico's in
the front of an '86 4kcsq, those are working out OK and are inexpensive.
I have heard that Tokico _used_ to have a problem with the chrome coming
off, and then they wouldn't honor the warranty because they blame the
owner for using ViceGrips on the shaft.

I've bought some cheap PepBoys Gabriels, made in Mexico or Brazil that had
a lifetime warranty. I did replace them once I think, so I don't
recommend those.

Word of mouth, alot of it. I can recommend http://www.shox.com for
pricing tho'. My Bilstein's from them came with some kind of weird Betty
Boop rubber stamp in the box for some reason. No explanation.
