Changing tranny gears?

Does anyone know if the gears within similar Audi transmissions are
interchangeable?

Specifically, I am interested in changing the 5th gear from an '87 Coupe GT
tranny for the 5th gear in an '81-'82 Coupe tranny.  The '82 5th gear is
pretty small, keeping the engine revs fairly low at speed.  Both trannies
have 093 codes (variant QF versus ABV).

Also, if anyone has an idea how much such a procedure might cost (parts
and/or labor), I would appreciate that.
