quattro driveline noise

Last month, I inquired if anyone had experiend a metallic driveline noise
which seemed to be coming from the rear of the car.  It only came on under
a hard load on the engine.  It did not affect operation, but decided to
have it checked. Problem was a metalic shield was abut 1/4 inch from the
driveshaft.  When you tramped gas hard, the engine shifts as does the
driveline just enought to rub against the shield. Solution was to simply
move the shiel for 1 inch clearance.
