V8 Overheating

I need some infor from V8 owners (1990-91 vintage): what is your normal
running temperature?

My 1990 V8 (74k miles) began overheating this summer: while moving the coolant
temp was about 100C, but at idle it soared all the way to overheat.

To date, I have replaced: water pump, thermostat, and fan clutch.  While it no
longer overheats, my mechanic thinks the running temp. is still too high (and
he now wants to pull & rod the radiator).  Current running temps: 98C
(moving), 110C (idle).

What can you other V8 owners tell me?  Thanks.
