I was thinking of that, but for such an important piece it seems like
an un-good idea to use thread fixers like helicoils...  Maybe drill &
tap it to the next sized bolt?

That's prolly what I'll wind up having to do...  This will also give
me the nifty chance to weeken the already flex-happy unibody of the
car.  Phenominal.

It's times like these that make me glad I don't rely on my Audi's as
my only source of transportation...
