VW Quantum tranny

I need to replace the tranny in my 1986 VW Quantum 2wd wagon.  I know by
refering to a Bentlys (sorry for the misspelling) manual for the 85 Audi
Coupe there are trannys with a higher 5th gear ratio.  Can anyone advise
me which tranny I should look for to reduce my highway cruising rpm's? 
Approx 3800 RPM @ 80MPH is more than I want, although that 5 is certainly
content to do it.
