Re: Test drove a new BMW......and AC

For some strange reason, since buying an Audi, I have found myself in
rental/loaner cars more times than ever in my adult life! Yes, Baby was in the
shop once again (more on that in another post). In the short time I have had
her, I seem to have forgotten what it was like to drive my other cars though.
I don't really remember the feel of my previous car, I mean I thought it drove
OK and then when I bought the A6, I said this does drive really nice. And now
I'm used to a quattro. So when they loan me a Cavalier, or a Contour or some
other vehicle of this sort I am in for a shock to my system. I realize its
like comparing apples to oranges but the difference is truly amazing. All that
talk about velcro and railroad tracks has a new meaning for me now. I can't
wait to get my Audi back.
Since I have your attention, just wanted to mention a little air conditioning
quirk... This has happened twice, weeks apart but I thought it strange:
Driving along, air is on, car is nice and cool. This last time, I had just
dropped someone off and was continuing on and the car got real humid. Thought
it was from opening the door but it kept up. There was still coolish air
blowing in but you could feel it getting humid in the car. I pressed a few
buttons trying to straighten it out but when that didn't help I just shut it
off and rolled down the windows. I got home, did something real quick and was
back in the car again and the air was working fine, and its still working
fine. So its not a huge problem (I hope) but this time of year I would like to
not let it become a huge problem. Baby has to go back to the dealer for
something else on Tuesday so if there is something they should check I'd like
to let them know about it.
As always thanks for your patience in answering all my big and small
questions....
