The new European Car which arrived at my house yesterday has an artist's
rendering of the new A4. Story says that the new A4 (code name AU-461)
will debut at the Geneva Auto show in the year 2000 with production to
start the following May with cabrio, avant and S4 versions to follow
later. "Styling leans toward the smoothness and fluidity of the A6, but
with a bulbous front end similar to the TT coupe."
The sketch is very attractive. The front end is very purposeful with a
deep chin spoiler with integrated driving lights. Sides are a bit more
rounded than the current A4 and some very serious looking wheels and tires
are shown.
Strip off the 4 rings on the grill and it certainly could be taken for a 3
series WMB.
