It's still that way in New Jersey, but since the gas is much cheaper than
in NYC (and even cheaper than Upstate NY), I buy almost all my gas in NJ.
The really annoying part is that the attendants don't want to wash the
windshields.  Plus I have to get out to check the oil anyway.

Yeah, to provide jobs for all the Philosophy grads.  (Best friend pumped
gas for a year after college, it seems Philosophy isn't the most
marketable major.)
