UrQ Giveaway (sort of)

In the short 9 or so months that I've been on this list, I've learned
a lot about the "ins-and-outs" of Audi ownership; in particular, with
my "new-to-me" '87 4kcsq.

I've purchased countless new and used parts, and even received some
stuff gratis (not even postage...).  So, as one kind soul who donated
some unique parts to my cause noted when I offered him stuff in
exchange for his generosity: it's all about "CAR-ma".  Give and you
shall receive.

So, here's the deal.  I ordered one DetailCars Platinum model ART490
from EWA miniature cars some months back.  It was _slightly_ damaged
during transit.  UPS covered the cost of replacement, and I just
received that replacement yesterday.  This is an '82 Audi Quattro
Coupe in Mars Red, 1:43 scale all-metal model.  Nice model, and it's
up for grabs.

Caveats: Now, like any UrQ, this car requires a little TLC.  The clear
plastic display box is cracked and a little unsightly and the two side
mirrors have been snapped off.  Fortunately, the mirrors are _there_,
but they are just broken off.  A little modeler's glue and she'd be
back in showroom condition.  Heck, for $0.00, you can't beat it.

Given that I now have _two_ of these, I want to donate one to a
lister.  So, to be fair to digesters and everyone on the list, I'm
going to do it via random drawing.  If you want a chance, please email
me with "FREE URQ" as the subject of your email.  Send all requests to
<mchang@ece.nwu.edu>.  I will put all the email addresses of
interested parties that I receive by MONDAY, AUGUST 3RD, at NOON
CENTRAL TIME, in a list.  Remember, "FREE URQ" in the subject, or
procmail is just gonna ignore you.

I will write a short computer program to choose one of these names on
the list and announce the winner sometime Monday afternoon or Tuesday.

NOTE:  If you have a good random number generator that you want me to
use for this program, C/C++/Java, please email it to me separately.

More Caveats:
1) Gotta be in the lower 48 states.  :)  Not going out to the UK or
   farther than the continent... sorry.  
2) Only one entry per household.  Please--no aliases and alternate email
   address submissions.  No, you can't enter your 10 year-old
   daughter's email address either.  Must be a lister. 
3) Any other obvious cheating stuff will get your email _off_ the list.

One final note:
I know that there are _lots_ of you out there with interesting stuff
to donate to the list -- I think this is a fun and unique way to
spread the "CAR-ma" around :).  I invite others to put stuff up for
grabs!
