hydraulic pump

i took apart my failed hydraulic pump...i figgered what the heck it's broken
anyhow! much to my surprise it was like new inside and the only failure was
the front bearing. have any of you had experience changing the front bearing
on a pump? igor?? since i stole the replacement form the 5ksw i'd like to
get it running again and if i can replace the bad bearing and put in a
rebuild kit it should be the least expensive route....btw does anyone have
the part number for the rebuild kit?
well here we are in august already and its the second anniversary of my
owning my 86 5kcdtq. its now at 300,000 km total and i've put on more than
50,000 km. sadly a lot of it is just short haul around town stuff. where it
really performed well was on three cross canada jaunts of over 4000km
each...and two were in winter. the only problem that arose was a thermostat
that stuck in the open mode at -30 deg centigrade in the middle of nowhere
while crossing the prairies in the wee hours of morning.
to celebrate the anniversary i'll be following scott m's
instructions for preparation and installing my new wastegate spring (1.8
bar) and my new, to me, tap modified chip and ecu. since owning the car i
have used mobil 1 15-50 and changed it every 5000 km. it never needs oil
added between changes and the used oil is so clean that i reuse it in the
lawn mower and lawn tractor...i know, i'm cheap! but they both start easier
and run quieter than they did before. i also changed the air filter for the
first time (for me) it had shown no problem but i figgered that at 50,000 km
it would need a look-see. well surprise surprise it was clean and only a
little bit dusty...could have left it for another 50,000 i guess. but i had
the new one so i installed it...no change whatsoever in the cars performance.
