Timing Belt Job-1990 200 tq-Help

I have been replacing the timing belt and realized maybe I screwed up. I
have rotated the crank and cam shafts separately, here is the story. Have I
bent some valves? I put the crank pulley on and prepared to tighten by
placing the tool that holds the pulley during torquing. To get the pulley
into position, Ihad to turn the crankshaft maybe a half of a turn. After
that I put on the camshaft sprocket, but first I turned it so that the Key
way was on the top. Then I tightened up the cam sprocket and probably
turned it somemore. I have not gotten it torqued yet but I will return to
that. So Have I damaged any valves? I still have to turn the cam shaft
some to get in the right place to put on the belt.

Is There A way to Hold the cam sprocket and torque it down. Other than get
the tool shown in the Bently Manual.
