Last "troll" for Monterey Historics...
Steve Buchholz has posted a couple times to see who all might be attending
this years Monterey Historic Auto Races. Check the Sept. 98 issue of EC for an
interview with the event founder Steve Earle and lots of stuff to get you
pumped up about the Porsche 50'th birthday party! If you can possibly make it,
this is one year that the Monterey Historics should not be missed! (Just
seeing a 917-30 run hard is worth the price of admission!)
On Wolff's prompting, this is a "last troll" the main quattro list for anyone
who is attending, or on the fence, that wants to try and get together there.
There will be a presence of us Audi fans and the more the better!
On Saturday 8/15 there will be various "caravans" of Audis heading down from
the Bay Area and Santa Cruz area. We are going to try and park in the same
general area (turn 9 hill) and also try and get together after the days
events.
Some of us are attending Sunday 8/16 but there is not as much of a plan to
caravan down, just to try and meet up there at this point.
For information on the event and ticket ordering look at Laguna Seca's web
site...(http://www.laguna-seca.com/).
There is a small mailing list that Steve Buchholz (Steven.Buchholz@kla-
tencor.com) has established for communication regarding this event. Drop him a
note if you wish to have your name added to this list.
We have not heard yet (that I am aware of) from you folks down in SoCal and I
recall there being mention of Monterey Historics on the SoCal QCUSA info web
site. Any of you all coming up here? Let us know...
NorCal A4 Club? Any of you going???
Hope to see as many new faces as possible there!
