RE: o.k,o.k,o.k



To pick nits.  The GTi is (often) a 1.8 liter motor.  It just happens to
have been mounted transversely (?) in that chassis, and has the accessories
(mounts, manifolds, etc) to make it possible.  The motor in the 4000 (if
it's a 4 cylinder) is also a 1.8 liter motor.  Only it came with the proper
accessories to mount it longitudinally.

If Richard gets another 1.8L motor (or a 2.0L) he should be fine.  And I
don't think I'd qualify it as a difficulty, only an annoyance.  As he should
have all the necessary parts from his car to make bolting up any old 1.8
fairly easy.
