Most dealers today use outside detailers.  I have personally known the owners of
two seperate detail shops; commercial accounts are their bread and butter.  It's
the trend today to use outside suppliers, independent contractors, any way that
business can cut costs.

One detail shop has accounts with probably 15 or 20 dealers in the area.   Auto
dealers also ship out their alarm installations, stereo installations, and
occasionally, their glass replacement.  I know; I used to be in all of these
industries.  We did quite a brisk business with a number of dealers.  Sometimes,
they were all the business coming through the garage door.
