Actually, it should just be the catch that makes this work.  Make sure 
that you are pushing the catch in all the way.  There are two positions 
for it.  The first one is what happens when you kind of half close the 
door and it still rattles in the frame when you drive...The doorlocks 
wont allow themselves to be pushed even if the door is really closed this 
halfway instead of simulating it.  If you push the catch through the 
second detent then it should work...
