Audi Turbo Diesel has K-24!?!?

Was looking at the turbo off of an Audi with the Turbo diesel in it.
Looking at the code on the side it appears that that engine has a K-24
turbo in it.  I assume that this is a different uit from that in the newer
200's but what are the differences if any.  Will this work on a MC/KH
motor?  ic- will it bolt up.  What will it do performance wise.  I assume
they used it on the diesel for its faster spool up at low RPM's.  Would
this work on a gas motor.  Just curious.  L8R
