Re: Upgrading Ur-Q's cooling systems

Hairy green toads from Mars made Andrew Duane say:

>Besides, antifreeze is also antiboil. Pure water boils at 100C.
I wouldn't imagine that temp is hard to come by inside an engine
in Saudi Arabia.

Fair point,
However in a pressurized container like our cooling systems, water will
not boil at sea level temps. As water is a better thermal transfer
agent then water and coolant, I don't mind running water and Red Line
Water Wetter as an anti corrosive in the summer, my UrQ, one one
radiator, has not seen an indicated 100C during our NE summers and 90+
degree days (which granted is NOT Saudi Arabia). Actually Red Line has
a nice paper on thermal transfer with various percentages of water and
coolant.
