Worth the Money

Listers:  Over the weekend, I installed the 7 blade fan upgrade on my '89 
200q.  The difference in the noise it generates in marked.  No longer 
will I draw strange stares from pedestrians crossing in front of my 
"stuck in D.C. traffic, 500w fan screaming" car.  High speed now is 
barely louder than low speed.  A worthy upgrade (sorry, I forgot to write 
down the P/N before I installed it). 

BTW, when I installed it, I did not fully remove the fan shroud/motor 
combo, as I could not get it out without having to remove the upper rad 
hose.  If you remove the coolant tank and slightly reposition it, you can 
access the reverse thread nut, and pull out the old blade.  Total 
replacement time:  20 minutes.
