No replacement for displacement

Hey,

In my ponderings for a fairly inexpensive way to get lots of power out of
a 5 cylinder I have decided to weld three cylinders to it...
Or I have two other options: Below are the pros and cons:

The Audi V8- Cost ~3000 Bucks modification must be made to allow the enigine
to bolt up unless a 3.6 5 speed is found. 3.6's put out 245 HP @ 5400 RPM 245
FT/Lbs of Torque @ 4000 RPM... Internal engine parts not available.

The Audi V8 4.2 ~4500 Bucks same mods must be made to be fit to a five speed
276HP @5800 RPM, 295 Ftlbs of Torque @4000 RPM No internal parts available

Audi A8 4.2 ~6000 Bucks 300 HP no internal engine parts available, mods must
be made to fit against a five speed

Porsche 928 S4 5.0 ~2000 Bucks internal engine parts available, albeit
expensive,
316 HP @ 6000 RPM 317 ft/lbs of torque at 3000 RPM. MAY NOT FIT extensive
mods must be made to engine to fit against a five speed.

Ford Mustang 5.0 liter power plant~ Forget it a total overweight piece of crap
compared to the above powerplants.

Any BTDT's on the above engine swaps????

Thanks,
Scott
