I can only speak for myself on this one. Basically, I do not have the
time or knowledge of the V8 to perform the work myself. As a Principal
in a small business, 20 hours of my day is consumed with work related
BS, 1 hour is consumed on the q-list (lately) and the other 3 hours I
try to sleep. I am fortunate to have a very good (and honest) V8
mechanic close to me so I defer to his many years of experience and know
how. If you have done the majority of work on your 200T, there is no
reason that you could not do the same for a V8.

I think Frank is right regarding the 1990 start date. However, I'm not
sure the V8 was available until 1996?? I was thinking that 1995 was the
latest date. Maybe some else can verify this??

IMHO if you really are interested in the performance aspects of the V8,
then hold out for the manual 5-speed tranny. These are hard to find, but
they are suppose to be awesome.
