Re: The Passat Lives



I've always used a pair of regular pliers, a screwdriver and a hammer with
no ill results.  You hold the 'buckle' with the screwdriver and pull with
the pliers.  When you're good and tight, you bend the 'tongue/flap' back
over and gently slap the holding tabs into place with a hammer.  That said,
I do see people who have them tie wrapped as well.  I see lots of tie-wrap
jobs on rally cars.
