... definitely agreed Tony! I went on Sunday as well ... unfortunately I
didn't manage to hook up with anyone that day, but the crowds were MUCH
better and parking was a breeze ... especially compared to the hour+ that we
spent waiting to find a place to park! I'm going to express my opinions on
this to the SCRAMP folks! Of course next year I'm buying the 3-day ticket,
but I think that from there on out I'll probably just go on Sunday.

For the rest of you, we met up with a whole bunch of q-listers there ... I
won't even try to remember all the names, but must have been a couple dozen.
There were a few folks that we wanted to meet up with but (at least I)
missed, but then there were a couple of old friend that I was not expecting
to see that crossed my path. It was great to be able to hook up with all of
you ... and it was also cool to see my first quattro sport S1!

I hear that plans are already under way for next year ... one of the things
they are trying to do is to get as many Audi "S" cars as they can. The only
thing I don't know is who is the master organizer ... I know that QCUSA is
involved. I would expect that they will bring the Avus quattro, and I'd
also expect to see the Trans Am and IMSA GTO cars ... perhaps some rally
quattros (I hope, I hope!) I heard that next year at the Monterey Historics
is when the new S6 will be available to the public in the USA for the first
time ...
