One dead Audi... continuing story



OK, thanks for all your suggestions so far. The consensus seems to be that
the battery is the most likely suspect- corroborated by the voltage check-
12.05V standard, below 4V when trying to start. RIP, I guess. My last drive
was about 20 miles, which should've been long enough to charge it at least
partially.

Tonight, my mechanic friend's going to bring me a used batttery that at
least holds charge. Before chucking my own battery, I'll put it on the
charger for a night and see what it does tomorrow. If my battery doesn't
hold a charge, I won't have to check the alternator (belt seems OK). I
dread the thought of a wiring fault... Just when I'm extremely busy,
working late all week.
