Should I contact AoA

I think you should offer AoA (via its agents) the option of a big fuss
or them coming part of the way on replacement. It might be worth
checking out the cost of replacement seat skins via someone like Tim
at The Parts Department to give yourself a benchmark - if it's only a
couple of hundred, it might not be worth the fight. If you go the
'new skins' route, take the seats to an upholsterer rather than a
dealership. The "hog ring lunge" takes some perfecting, and most
mechanics don't have the skills.
Beware of a potential cultural issue. In Germany, leather is regarded
as a 'natural product' which inevitably contains faults - very, very
many German products (all that I have seen) that include leather
_specifically_ exclude warranty claims arising from the leather part of
the product. The fact that a claim was registered so early is helpful
here, as will be any obvious discrepancy between the individual seats.
