Re: [CQ] R-134a A/C conversion?



I had it done on my 87 5ktq when the compressor died.  The system 
cools as well as the R12 did.  The only thing I don't like is 
the amount of horsepower consumed by the compressor.  My mechanic 
told me that the R134a operates at a higher system pressure which 
would explain the horsepower loss.  HTH!
