I've got two of the older units...the first one has a serial number of 616
or something similar...I ordered it the day I heard about them...it was
originally a 9 volt unit, with a weird adapter. I think they upgraded my
unit when I sent it in for service a while back. The second one I bought
for my wife when she finally upgraded to a European sedan (a $aab 9000)
from Toyotal Camry. Moved it, of course, to the Audi.

Been running these units ever since in our two cars. I would like laser
coverage as I do travel a fair amount in CT and NY...but I'm not ready to
replace the Passports. I'd like to compare the new one side by side with
the original...I'm sure somebody will do so and publish a report in an auto
mag. I certainly don't have enough exposure to provide a valid test myself
<KOW>.
