Car shopping bug - want some opinions

All,
 I have found myself in a quandry. I am looking to buy either a small sedan
like the 90 quattro 20V or 90 CS quattro Sport for myself or take my wife's
Jetta GLI as my commuter car and get her a 100 CS quattro, 200TQ, V8 quattro
or older A6.
 I've found a beautiful 1990 90 quattro 20V. From 10 feet it looks brand new,
is a single owner car and has 74k miles. Really a well maintained car. It
would make a great commuter car for me and would suit my needs fully. On the
other hand I am partial to the newer looking 90 CS quattro sport.
 My wife went looking at cars with me yesterday (I have been telling her for 2
years I'd get her a nicer, larger car but she didn't want one - until I
started looking for myself!). She likes the idea of a nice V8 or A6 or
equivalant. She hasn't seen a 200 TQ yet but she'd probably like one of those
too after driving it.
 I'm looking to hear some brief experiences or opinions you all may have about
the several cars I've listed above.
