Boing... Boing...

You know, the chime that lets you know that the lights/radio
are still on when you open the driver's door.

Mine never worked on my 5kCSQ since I bought it 30k miles ago.
Not surprising since a very likely looking relay was unplugged
and in the glove box!

So, after two incidents of a flat battery (no, not recently),
I finally got around to plugging it in...

Door was open, turned the radio on. Boing Boing. Turned the
radio off. Silence. Good so far. Turned ignition on.
Boing Boing. Must be the seat belt. Nope, Boing Boing.
Closed the door. Boing Boing. Hmm. Retreat to previous
owner's solution (pull the relay).

Pulled out the Bentley. Measured some voltages. Scratched
head. Went back out to car. (Relay back in) Turned ignition
on... Boing... pressed switch on door frame... silence!
Closed door... Boing. Opened door... still boinging...
pressed switch... silence. Released switch - boing - pushed
switch in slowly - door ajar light goes out - boing - silence.

Get out... close the door... boing... shove door hard... silence.

So, a quick adjustment of the door (I'm sure the pin was almost
loose) and... it's all working as it should. Even the seatbelt
switch is still alive.

Turns out there are two contacts on that switch. Once drives
the interior lights/door ajar indicator light and the other
drives the chime. You can manage to adjust the door such
that one works and the other doesn't!

Must have been team door-handle again.
